Cai Kui (born in 1964) is a Chinese painter. He graduated from College of military culture, National Defence University PLA China in 1989, majoring in Traditional Chinese Painting. in 1990, Cai Kui joined China Artists Association. Currently, he is the executive director of the Calligraphy and Painting Art Specialized Committee in China Arts and Crafts Association, a full-time painter in Chinese National Academy of Arts, a national first-class artist and a graduate mentor. His artworks were exhibited domestically and internationally and won several prizes. Cai Kui has published a number of academic Monographs. He is considered one of the most potentialcontemporary artists by many art research institutes.

Most of his paintings for this exhibition are portraits of women, who are elegant and classy. Elegance is one of the most important elements in art, and it is also Cai Kui’s pursuit in his artworks.
